Stupid frigging cat has brought a mouse in!!! She now has this poor mouse cowing in a corner while she watches it, and I don't know what to do. It's blatently going to die - it's shaking and there is blood. I can't rescue it because, well, how? I won't risk picking it up (I don't want to be bitten and I'm not sure I have the guts) but I feel so awful just leaving the poor thing there till it dies. :( I hate the way cats play with their prey. I've tried to make her take it out but she won't. *cries* Suzie is never leaving Nermal here with me again! Help!

EDIT - SO I shut Nermal in the kitchen, managed to trap the mouse in a container and let it loose in the garden outside (Do mice live in holes in the soil? Where do mice live?). I'm not convinced the little mite will survive but I did my best for it. GAH.
